At a news conference where Minneapolis leaders demanded transparency in the investigation into Renee Nicole Good's killing, Frey said he stands by his statements, calling it a reckless abuse of power.  "The narrative the administration was pushing in the immediacy following this shooting was garbage and false and B.S. It was. I stand by every one of those. This notion of inflammatory comments, I mean come on, guys. … I dropped an F-bomb. They killed somebody. Which one os those is more inflammatory? I'm going with the killing somebody." 

Minnesota lawmakers Angie Craig and Tom Emmer had a heated exchange on Capitol Hill Wednesday. Craig, a Democrat, wants justice in the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent. Emmer, a Republican, is defending the agent's actions.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) queried the panel on the Feeding our Future program, a Minnesota nonprofit which during the COVID-19 pandemic, claimed to have distributed thousands of meals to schoolchildren. Rep. Jordan asked the panel what led to the organization being investigated. 

Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D), delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives from the District of Columbia, spoke during the hearing. She spoke on the importance of oversight and that Congress must ensure that vital programs retain funding.
