'Dance with Courage' dance marathon happening this weekend

Some local dancers will gather to perform at Eden Prairie Center this weekend to help raise money for kids with special needs, so they can attend summer camp.      It is the 12th annual Dance with Courage Dance Marathon. It starts at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28.

Snow arrived this week just in time for the St. Paul Winter Carnival. It starts on Thursday and runs through Feb. 10 – a whole week longer than last year due to the Super Bowl.

Community calendar helps send Minnesota students on college tours

The 12th annual Minnesota African American Heritage Calendar is out.  This year, it honors educators who are making a difference in our community.  Proceeds from the calendar fund high school students to visit Historically Black Colleges.
