The Vikings and Baltimore Ravens will meet in the second preseason game on Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium. It’s Minnesota’s lone home preseason game before opening the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 13 against the rival Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Vikings host Ravens for joint practices
The backstory:
Before Saturday’s preseason game, the Ravens will visit TCO Performance Center in Eagan as the Vikings will host them for joint practices. The two teams will hold the workouts on Wednesday and Thursday, and that’s where a majority of the starting players for both sides will get their work in.
It’s the fourth time in five seasons under Kevin O’Connell that the Vikings are hosting joint practices before the regular season. The Vikings hosted the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals in 2023. They traveled for joint practices with the Cleveland Browns in 2024, and last year, they hosted the New England Patriots.
Vikings place Jamal Adams on IR
Why you should care:
The Vikings on Monday placed linebacker/safety Jamal Adams on injured reserve, ending his 2026 season after one preseason game. The Vikings signed Adams just before the start of training camp, and he had one tackle for loss on Saturday at the New York Giants. He went down with a non-contact right knee injury early in the second quarter of Saturday’s game, and after several minutes in the medical tent, was carted off to the locker room.
The Vikings on Monday signed cornerback Bryce Phillips to take his spot on the roster. The Vikings beat Giants 13-10. In his unofficial debut, Kyler Murray went 2-of-3 passing for 10 yards, and led the Vikings to a field goal. Their lone touchdown came on a Carson Wentz pass to Myles Price, a one-handed grab that had Justin Jefferson and the Vikings' sideline going crazy.
