Swimmer struck by watercraft at Maple Lake

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - A swimmer is in the hospital after getting hit by a watercraft on Maple Lake, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say around 4:18 p.m. Saturday, an 18-year-old man was operating the watercraft with a 14-year-old passenger.
The watercraft was within 150 feet of the shore and was unable to avoid a collision with the 68-year-old man who was swimming.
Emergency crews transported the swimmer to Douglas County Hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
