Tensions rise at Anoka-Hennepin school board meeting over masking decision

Parents got aggressive at an Anoka-Hennepin School Board meeting to discuss the need for masks in the school district. Dozens of parents spoke out against a mask mandate, voicing frustrations throughout the meeting during the public comment period and even yelling over board members during the discussions. The board eventually passed a resolution requiring masks for everyone in K-6 school buildings when there are high rates of COVID-19 cases in the community.
