Somerset drive-in to host Garth Brooks concert
One of music?s biggest superstars is testing out a new way to put on a concert while keeping those in attendance as safe as possible. Garth brooks is creating a concert for drive-in theaters on June 27th. There are 300 drive-ins on board including a few near the metro. You can catch it at the Elko Drive-In or River?s Edge near Somerset, Wisconsin. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 19th at 11am through Ticketmaster. It?s $100 per car with a max of six people per vehicle. The owner of River?s Edge, Steve Kaufman, just installed a new LED screen this year. It?s one of only a few in the country and it happens to be suspended over a full size concert stage. They were approached about doing music at the drive-in by Encore Live a month ago. If this event is successful, Encore Live has 19 other artists interested in doing a similar Drive-In concert.
