Pres. Trump places DC police under federal control [FULL]

President Donald Trump declared a public safety emergency for Washington, D.C., for how unsafe, "dirty and disgusting," "once-beautiful" Capitol and he's placing the D.C. police department under federal control, as well as deploying the National Guard. When talking about addressing crime in D.C., he said "we have to get rid of sanctuary cities" and said he'd rely on Republicans to help solve this problem because Democrats are focused on allowing transgender athletes to play sports. Trump also questioned the need to hire more law enforcement officials.
