Netflix series "Bridgerton" truly captured people?s attention with its vivid take on London?s high society circa the early 1800s. The music, the costumes, the dancing and even the queen appear to have all been plucked off the screen and placed in the Twin Cities for ?The Queen?s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience.? The event runs through December 30th and takes place inside the Lighthouse Artspace.

After a pandemic pause, Minnesota Roller Derby returns starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. This new season will come with changes in the form of all new home teams that have been completely re-drafted. Those teams will have new names and logos as well, but don’t fret, the halftime dance party will stay the same. Fans can purchase tickets at the door or on Ticketmaster.

New museum with rare collection of glass art opens in Shoreview

One of the most extensive and finest collections of contemporary glass sculptures in the world is on display at a new museum in Shoreview. The free museum taps into the 3000 piece collection of local businessman and philanthropist, Gerard Cafesjian. The first exhibit highlights Cafesjian’s 30-year friendship with master glass artist, Dale Chihuly. It’s the first time the private collection is all in one place and on view for the public. The Cafesjian Art Trust is open for guided tours, Thursday through Saturday. Even though it is free to visit, guests must make a reservation ahead of time online or by calling the museum. It’s located on Churchill St. near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and County Road 96.

Though Igloo Dining first appeared during the pandemic to offer people a private space to eat, they?re still popular. In Wayzata, ninetwentyfive, at The Landing Hotel is offering everything from dinner to happy hour to a special brunch experience inside their cozy dining domes. The Polar Express Brunch in particular, comes with a four-course meal, a hot chocolate bar and cookie decorating station while Polar Express plays inside the heated dome. Reservations are required to secure an igloo and they can accommodate up to six people.

The explanation is pretty simple: The stench can happen in the fall as farmers spray their fields with fertilizer (essentially liquid manure in most cases) before the ground freezes. Wind speed and direction play a role in who smells it, so one moment you may notice a stench in the air and an hour later it may be gone, FOX 9 Meteorologist Cody Matz explains, admitting he's not a farm expert.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum brings back pumpkin display

The pumpkins are plentiful at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, but they?re not your average gourd. There?s a new display showing off 328 varieties all in one place and they?re labeled. The names are just as unique as the varieties. The Arb also has a towering pumpkin tree in a rainbow of colors. The pumpkin tree and key will be in place through the 31st. Tickets are required and should be purchased online ahead of your visit.
