The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested several people in the Twin Cities for being in the country illegally.

Federal authorities say investigators found half of the immigration cases in Minnesota, including H-1B visas, fiancé visas, and the Ukrainian humanitarian parole program, are fraudulent, according to a statement from the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), but the total number remains unclear.

"If President Trump, right now is watching the Somali community, we would like to invite him come visit in our state," said a Karmel Mall business owner in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Federal officers are in the city for an operation aimed at enforcing the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

Community members on Thursday will be rallying against and denouncing the Trump Administration's attacks against Somalis in Minnesota, as well as immigration enforcement that targets Somalis in the Twin Cities.

Elected officials say the Somali community is under attack, and they want it to stop.
