St. Paul police investigating homicide on Geranium Avenue
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - St. Paul police are investigating a murder that occurred on 12 E Geranium Ave Monday afternoon.
Spokesman Steve Linders says at about 2 p.m. officers responded to a call that a person had died at the home. Police found 65-year-old homeowner Clifford Edward Sykes dead inside the home. He appeared to suffer physical trauma.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and ruled his death a homicide. Officials are still completing examinations and toxicology reports.
The case is still under investigation. This marks the 16th homicide in St. Paul this year.
The department is asking anyone with information to contact the department.
This is the second murder in St. Paul in the last week. Police are also investigating a homicide that took place on Sunday on Rose Avenue in the North End neighborhood. Investigators do not believe the incident was random. Investigators
The victim of Sunday’s homicide was identified as Andrew Rehberger, 25, of St. Paul.
