Lindsay Clancy’s defense made a last-minute attempt Friday to stop a mistrial after jurors again reported they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked for time to file an emergency petition with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the judge agreed to hold off on declaring a mistrial for an hour.
