Minnesota DFL agenda faces no-tax pledge
Minnesota Democrats hold expanded majorities heading into the 2027 legislative session, giving the DFL trifecta enough votes to pass laws without Republican support. Leaders plan to prioritize affordability, targeting childcare, health care, housing, and gun safety, but Governor-elect Amy Klobuchar's campaign pledge not to raise taxes could complicate expensive initiatives.
