New Fed chair Kevin Warsh facing interest rate decision
The Federal Reserve is meeting Wednesday to talk about interest rates after a two-day conference. Experts expect interest rates to go up. The Fed last met in July but kept interest rates the same. However, that was not without consequences. When investors expect high inflation, they demand higher interest rates on government and corporate bonds. But new Fed chairman Kevin Warsh is now facing a tough situation as President Donald trump has repeatedly asked for rates to be left alone or even lowered.
