A Minnesota House committee debated a proposed bill that would increase the criminal penalty for impersonating a peace officer. This, after Vance Boelter is accused of impersonating law enforcement in the June 14, 2025 shootings of state lawmakers Melissa Hortman and John Hoffmann, and their spouses.
