Sen. Ernst on fraud: Gov. Walz needs to ‘step up’
Sen. Joni Ernst and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison discussed fraud accountability during a Senate oversight hearing. Ellison argued that fraud prevention efforts should not become “a political football” and noted that his authority to prosecute depends on referrals from county attorneys or assignments from the governor. Ernst responded by saying, “What we need is for your governor to step up to the plate.”
