Mayor Frey did not directly comment on a Hennepin County judge’s ordered that the city of Minneapolis must employ 730 sworn police officers by June 30, 2022, but the mayor affirmed his commitment to funding MPD and said “when you lose as much as a third of your department, there are consequences.”
