Vikings end skid with dominant shutout of Commanders

The Vikings snapped their four game losing streak with a convincing shutout win over the Commanders as both the offense and defense delivered their strongest performance of the season. Rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy finished 16 of 23 for 163 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions while Justin Jefferson was held to two catches for 11 yards on four targets. The defense set the tone all afternoon and veteran safety Harrison Smith came away with his first interception of the season. Despite sitting at long playoff odds of 250 to 1 the Vikings now look to build on the momentum as they prepare for Sunday night’s matchup against the Cowboys. FOX 9 Sports Director Jim Rich talks about the win and what the season could look like going forward.
