Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN: Thousands of free bikes for kids in need across Minnesota

Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN is a Minnesota nonprofit dedicated to giving free bikes to kids in need across the state. Founded by Terry Esau, FB4KMN collects, repairs, and redistributes thousands of gently used bicycles each year — more than 90,000 bikes and counting. Through community donations and volunteer efforts, the organization turns old bikes into opportunities, helping children discover the joy, health, and freedom of riding. This year’s Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN Giveaway takes place today at Hiawatha Elementary from 3–7 PM, where hundreds of kids will receive their very own bike — free of charge. The event highlights the organization’s ongoing mission to create a healthier, happier, and more connected Minnesota, one bike at a time.
