Edina City Council puts gun control ordinance vote on hold

The Edina City Council was prepared to vote on a gun control ordinance Tuesday night, but Mayor James Hovland put it on hold until there can be a public hearing for residents to weigh in. Even if it were to pass, Minnesota state law says local governments cannot enforce gun bans.
