Melissa, Mark Hortman funeral homily: They lived lives of 'purpose and meaning'
Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman were laid to rest at a funeral service at the Basilica of St. Mary on Saturday in front of hundreds of people, including their two children Colin and Sophie, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and many of Rep. Hortman's colleagues. Here is the full homily given at the funeral service, which included discussing political violence, which took the lives of the Hortmans and their beloved dog Gilbert.
