Hortmans funeral: Caskets carried to altar

Before the Hortmans' caskets were brought to the altar at the Basilica of St. Mary, the Hortmans' children, Colin and Sophie, embraced each other as the service began and then draped funeral palls over their parents' caskets. Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman, as well as their dog Gilbert, were fatally shot in a targeted, politically motivated attack on June 14.
