Dire wolves are back: The science behind Colassal's de-extinction
Grant Spickelmier, director at the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota, joined FOX 9 All Day to chat about the news that Colassal Biosciences, a de-extinction company, has brought back the once extinct dire wolf, which were made famous by the HBO show "Game of Thrones." The dire wolf pups are named Romulus, Remus and Khaleesi. Dire wolves, which were much larger than a gray wolf, went extinct 12,500 years ago.
