SPPD Officer Reilly remembered: She inspired people to be better
A pastor spoke at Officer Felicia Reilly's funeral service on Monday, saying she loved to adventure, loved being a police officer, and inspired people to be better. Officer Reilly died from injuries sustained in the line of duty in 2010. Reilly was attacked while responding to a 911 hang-up call in March 2010. She was repeatedly kicked and assaulted by the suspect, sustaining injuries that ended her career. Her condition from those injuries worsened over the past 15 years. She died March 1.
