Leadership, potential retirement changes for DPS

Earlier this year Colonel Matt Langer announced he’s leaving the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) after 25 years and 10 years as Colonel. Ahead of his departure in early April, Colonel Langer stopped by the FOX 9 Morning News to discuss his role as director of global policing for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Until a new Colonel is named, Lt. Col. Christina Bogojevic will serve as Interim Colonel. She spoke with us about recruitment efforts underway for DPS and also a new bill moving through the capitol aimed at extending the age when most troopers retire.
