FOX 9 surprises Hidden Hero with $10K
Fox is kicking off the New Year by recognizing some of the 'Hidden Heroes' in our communities. Our company has teamed up with the Elizabeth Dole foundation to spotlight caregivers in our communities in the new year. Elissa Lynch's husband Mick was driving a mobile assault vehicle in Afghanistan when he ran over an improvised explosive device (IED). He sustained a back injury, as well as a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He came home and remained in the Army until he was medically retired in 2014. She's been her husband's caretaker since his injury. On Fox 9 Good Day, Elissa was surprised with a $10,000 check from Fox.
