'An American Tail the Musical' opening soon at the Children's Theatre

Children of the 80?s likely remember playing the VHS tape over, and over, and over, but soon a childhood classic will be making its world premiere at the Children?s Theatre Company. An American Tail the Musical will hit the CTC stage April 25-June 18, 2023. Ahead of opening night Kiko Laureano, who will be playing "Bridget" and director, Taibi Magar stopped by the Fox 9 Mornings News to offer a sneak peek at what young audiences can expect. ?I?m excited to play a character who is Jewish like me, says Kiko. An American Tail the Musical centers around an army of cats who force forces young Fievel Mousekewitz and his family to escape from Russia. A storm at sea separates them, and Fievel arrives all alone in New York city. The show is packed with familiar songs and characters, plus some additions including new songs from Tony-award winner Itamar Moses and the songwriting team that created Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical.
