400 mental health workers hold one-day strike

More than 400 mental health workers are holding a one-day strike on Tuesday in Minneapolis. The AllinaHealth and M Health Fairview workers formed a union last year and are in the process of negotiating their first contract. After failing to agree on terms, the workers said an unfair labor practice strike was their only option to show management how serious their concerns are. They’re seeking improvements for patients and workers, including higher wages.
