MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minnesota United FC officials announced Wednesday that single-game tickets for the 2025 season went on sale, starting with exclusive access presales.
The general public can start buying single-game tickets on Thursday, and for at least one home game, it’s going to be very, very expensive. Minnesota United’s home schedule includes a May 10 match against Inter Miami, set for 3:30 p.m. That means international soccer star Lionel Messi is coming to Allianz Field.
If you want to see him live, it’s going to cost you.
Tickets are how much?!
By the numbers:
One Loons’ fan took a screen shot of ticket prices for the match and posted it to social media. They range from $313 to sit behind one goal, to $894 to sit on the side or $425 to sit behind the other net.
For the next home match a week later against St. Louis, tickets range from $35 to $101, depending on seat location.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that ticket prices go up to see one of the biggest stars in soccer. But some fans are arguing that’s excessive. But for diehard soccer fans, it might be worth it to see Messi play live. That’s assuming, of course, he’s healthy at that time, does play and the team doesn’t hold him out.
The 2025 season
Why you should care:
The Loons went 15-12-7 in their first season under Eric Ramsay, including a 7-6-4 mark at Allianz Field. They were the No. 6 seed in the MLS Cup Playoffs, and their season came to an end in a 6-2 loss to L.A. Galaxy.
Minnesota United FC is currently in training camp, and opens the regular season Feb. 22 at L.A. FC. The home opener is set for March 1 against Montreal.
