Gophers seek to take back Paul Bunyan's Axe after more than a decade
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - One of the oldest rivalries in college football comes to TCF Bank Stadium Saturday as the Minnesota Gophers battle Big Ten rival Wisconsin for the chance to wield Paul Bunyan's Axe.
The axe has eluded Minnesota every year since 2004. Also on the line for the Gophers on Saturday? A chance to play in a bowl game this season. A win would make them bowl eligible for the fourth season in a row.
