MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A security worker is recovering after he was stabbed during an altercation with two women who he refused to let into a nightclub.

What we know:
Minneapolis police say they responded to a reported stabbing in the 3200 block of 2nd Street North just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
Officers then found a man suffering from stab wounds. He is expected to survive after being taken to the hospital.
Investigators say they believe the man was working as a security guard at an after-hours club. He then refused to allow two women in their 20s to enter the club. Police say those women then assaulted the man, and one of them stabbed him.
Police say they arrested both women on assault charges.
