MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A mix of wintry precipitation moved through the region overnight and is continuing into Thursday morning, creating slick conditions on some area roads.
A light icy mix will continue through the morning commute before gradually transitioning to mainly rain later in the day. Slippery road conditions are possible, especially on bridges, overpasses and ramps.
8:45 a.m. – State Patrol responding to crashes and jackknifed semis
Minnesota State Patrol says troopers are responding to several crashes, rollovers and jackknifed semis along I-94 from Barnesville to Rothsay and across the region.
Photos from the Minnesota State Patrol show semi trucks in ditches and on their sides, with snow still covering parts of the roadway.
No injuries have been reported, but roads remain slippery. Drivers are urged to use caution.
7:45 a.m. – Winter storm warning canceled for Twin Cities metro
The National Weather Service canceled the winter storm warning for Hennepin, Ramsey and Carver counties on Thursday morning. A winter weather advisory has been issued in its place until 10 a.m. Thursday.
6:45 a.m. - Icy, snow covered roads in central, northern Minnesota
As of 6:45 a.m., metro area roads remain damp with some slick spots.
Snow, ice and slush are being reported on roads north of the Twin Cities, according to MnDOT.

Wintry mix impacting Thursday morning commute
A wintry mix moving through Minnesota overnight into Thursday morning is creating some slick road conditions across the state. FOX 9’s Bill Keller reports from the weather tracker.
As of 5:45 a.m., MnDOT reports roads in the Twin Cities metro are mostly wet with occasional slick spots, along with some light slush on roads in the western metro.
In central Minnesota, some roads have light slush, while northern parts of the state are reporting snow-covered roadways. A few crashes have been reported across the state.
