MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting in the city's Hawthorne neighborhood that left a man dead.

What we know:
Officers say they responded to a reported shooting near the intersection of 31st Avenue North and 4th Avenue just after 1:18 a.m. on Thursday.
A 911 caller said they heard a single gunshot followed by someone calling for help.
Police then found a man in the street suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was then taken to the hospital, where he died.
Law enforcement officials are still investigating the shooting and no arrests have been announced.
