EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (FOX 9) - A woman and two children in Eden Prairie were hospitalized Thursday night after a driver struck them in a crosswalk and fled the scene.

What we know:
The Eden Prairie Police Department said a woman and four children were in a crosswalk at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive around 8:20 p.m. when the incident occurred.
According to a press release, the driver of a white sedan struck the woman and the two children she was pulling in a wagon, then fled the scene before authorities arrived.
First responders transported the woman and one child, who both sustained non-life-threatening injuries, to Hennepin Healthcare. Police said the other child in the wagon sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.
What we don't know:
Investigators say they do not know the make or model of the suspect vehicle.
What they're saying:
Eden Prairie Police Sgt. Bryan Dean said, "Our hearts are with this family during what is an unimaginably difficult time."
Sgt. Dean asked the public for help in the case, saying, "Even the smallest detail could help identify the driver and deliver the justice this family deserves. To the person responsible, or anyone who knows them — do the right thing. Come forward."

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen a white vehicle traveling north on Mitchell Road around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, or anyone with dashcam or home surveillance footage that could identify the vehicle, to come forward.
