Golden Gophers take on Mississippi Bulldogs at Huntington Bank Stadium

The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team opened its 2026 season on Sept. 3 with a routing 59-7 win over Eastern Illinois.

The Gophers now take on Mississippi State at Huntington Bank Stadium in search of their second win.
