Buddy Boy Fine BBQ specializes in wood-fired cooking

A barbecue spot tucked off Highway 7 in Minnestrista is drawing folks from all over the Twin Cities and beyond. Buddy Boy Fine BBQ is 20 years in the making for the Cox family. They started with a food truck that they took all over the country. Executive Chef Joe even spent a few years sleeping in his car while working the food truck on the oil fields. He says he learned the art of wood-fired cooking from his mom who was raised in the mountains of Taiwan in a village without electricity. Buddy Boy Fine BBQ is open Wednesday to Saturday.
