FDA approves Alzheimer's drug

The FDA has endorsed a new drug that could impact millions of Americans suffering from Alzheimer's. The drug, called Leqembi, targets a sticky brain plaque linked to the disease. Studies show the medication can slow its progress when taken in the early stages of Alzheimer's. The FDA approval clears the way for Medicare and other insurance plans to cover much of the cost. Right now, it's more than $26,000 a year.
