Art-forward rooftop bar opens in Uptown

There’s a new rooftop bar to check out and it doubles as an art gallery. Arts + Rec Uptown will open phase one, the rooftop bar, on Friday August 5th to coincide with the return of the Uptown Art Fair. The bar serves up fun, playful food and drinks that fit the atmosphere. They’re serving up everything from mini-keg cocktails to Caprisun-style bagged beverages. The food taps into Minnesota favorites like Top the Tater, fried pickles and cheese curds, except these cheese curds are inside a waffle on a stick. Phase two will open later this year. The main floors will have a full bar and restaurant, a speakeasy, an artist-inspired mini golf course and an intimate black box theater.
