Super Bowl betting guide for Sunday

Professional sports bettor Bill Krackomberger joins LiveNOW's Mike Pache with some wagering advice for Sunday's Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots square off in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday evening.

Both teams are back for a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, when the Patriots defeated the Seahawks and denied them the opportunity to win their second consecutive championship.

This year, both quarterbacks are making their first-ever appearance in the Super Bowl: New England Patriots QB Drake Maye and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.

Sunday’s contest could also turn into a defensive chess match between two elite head coaches in Seattle’s Mike Macdonald and New England’s Mike Vrabel.

The Patriots still hold the record for the most Super Bowl appearances. This is the Patriots’ 12th Super Bowl and the Seahawks' fourth.

Super Bowl score first quarter

The first quarter ended with the Seahawks leading 3-0.

From the first play of the Patriots’ opening drive, the Seahawks’ fan base made its presence felt. Seattle’s "12s", as the Seahawks’ passionate fan base is known as, made all sorts of noise at Levi’s Stadium shortly after New England took over on offense.

Typically, Seahawks fans create a difficult environment for foes at Lumen Field. Today, they’ve taken over the home of one the Seahawks’ fiercest rivals, the San Francisco 49ers.

Super Bowl 60 kicks off

Seattle received the ball to start the game after New England won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half. The game opened under blue skies and 67-degree weather at Levi’s Stadium.

The pregame show was a new addition this year, with the rock band helping usher generations of Super Bowl MVPs onto the field.

"Welcome to the Bay!" Billie Joe Armstrong, the band's lead singer, shouted at the end of their set, which also included "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot."
