A high school teacher in Washington state has been arrested after she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student at the school where she worked.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Madeline Gregory, who also goes by Madeline Scoon, on Monday afternoon after students were let out from school, according to a post published to the sheriff’s office Facebook account.

Gregory, who is also married, was arrested on suspicion of sexual misconduct with a minor and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes, the sheriff’s office added.

Inappropriate relationship allegedly caught on camera

Dig deeper:

Gregory and the teen both allegedly admitted to the inappropriate relationship to law enforcement, according to a Spokesman report.

This included sexual intercourse and times when Gregory performed oral sex on the student.

The alleged misconduct took place both in the school as well as in other locations on campus, including in a school gym closet and in bushes outside the school’s tennis courts.

Court documents obtained by the Spokesman revealed the sheriff’s office obtained video of Gregory and the student entering her classroom after school hours and remaining inside for more than 45 minutes.

Surveillance video also allegedly captured the pair meeting at a Walmart and driving away in Gregory’s car and returning hours later.

Sheriff’s deputies were notified about the alleged misconduct after the teen’s mother found text messages between her son and Gregory.

The student said he attempted to end the relationship with Gregory but claimed she threatened to end her life if he did, according to the New York Post.

What's next:

Gregory appeared in court on Tuesday and had a bond set at $50,000, the Post reported.

She has been ordered to have no more contact with minors and the investigation is ongoing.
