Juneteenth celebrations this weekend

Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center are combining forces to throw a big Juneteenth Celebration this weekend. June 19th marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that the Civil War had ended and all enslaved people were free. Brooklyn Park and Brookyln Center are hosting a golf tournament and a community celebration to bring people together.
