Preparing natural history specimens at the Bell Museum
An event at the Bell Museum this week allows visitors to see the process of preparing specimens for the scientific collections. It's called Bell Expeditions. The team will be preparing birds, mammals, fishes, plants and insects for natural history collections. This goes hand in hand with the new project they've launched called Salvage Wildlife in which tragedies are turned into scientific data. Bell Expeditions runs August 12th - 15th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and it's free to attend.
