Researchers studying peony patch at Landscape Arboretum

For the last four years, a team of researchers at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has been studying several patches of flowers in the southwest metro. They're trying to find  the varieties that will withstand weather, pests, and disease. They're currently studying peonies, magnolia trees, and weigelas. The research plots are not open to the public though they occasionally host tours.
