MN Secretary of State calls proposed Voter Integrity Act an 'irresponsible stunt'

The Minnesota Voter Integrity Act, a bill that was proposed by Rep. Pete Stauber, would prohibit the state from receiving federal election assistance funds until the Minnesota Secretary of State cooperates with the Department of Justice’s current federal review of the state's registration and voting practices. Secretary of State Steve Simon said this would "actively damage the security of our elections by threatening to starve Minnesota of critical federal funds that help protect our election infrastructure."
