New documentary follows 2 teens during ICE operations in Midwest

When the ICE immigration enforcement campaign called “Operation Midway Blitz” took over the neighborhoods of Chicago in late 2025, two teenage brothers grabbed their cellphones and cameras and took to the streets to document what has happening in their neighborhoods. Ben and Sam Luhman, with the support of their parents, decided to let the world see what they were seeing. Then, when ICE started Operation Metro Surge in Twin Cities, the Luhman brothers packed their car and drove to Minnesota. The images, tensions, and experiences they captured are now part of a documentary called “My Brother’s Camera.”  Film director Jeff Christian and his creative team poured through the hours of recordings captured by Ben and Sam to show why this was a personal cause. Christian talked with FOX 9’s Tim Blotz on All Day about the film, which had a private screening during this year’s Twin Cities Film Festival.
