Artemis II: Orion views solar eclipse from moon

On April 6, 2026, the Orion capsule viewed a total solar eclipsed not visible from Earth, providing the accompanying astronauts to several minutes’ worth of views of the sun's outermost radiating atmosphere – making them the first humans to ever do so.
