David Wright convicted of murder in Mariah Samuels' death

A Hennepin County jury on Wednesday convicted David Wright of first-degree murder in the September 2025 shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, Mariah Samuels. Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty spoke after the conviction. Wright will be sentenced on Friday to life in prison without parole.
