Ellison: Meta knew its platforms were harming kids

Minnesota will receive at least $214 million and up to $307 million under a landmark settlement with Meta announced by Attorney General Keith Ellison. The settlement, which is awaiting court approval, requires new protections for users ages 13 to 17 on Facebook and Instagram, including a two-hour daily limit, nighttime blocks, pauses designed to interrupt scrolling and stronger parental and content controls.
