Trump signs Laken Riley Act as first legislation

President Trump has signed the Laken Riley Act ? named after Georgia native Laken Riley who was killed in 2024 by a Venezuelan national in the U.S. illegally ? into law as his first piece of legislation. He also spoke on several topics including immigration and government spending prior to its official signing.
