Local gallery buys unwanted art, upcyles it into new pieces

Inspired by dentists who buy back candy at Halloween and gun buy-back programs, a local art gallery sponsored a similar program – an art buy-back.

Kolman and Pryor Gallery in northeast Minneapolis gave people $1 in exchange for each piece of unwanted art they dropped off. Artists then "upcycled" the unwanted art pieces into something new.
