Why Phil Hughes' glove looks so worn out

(KMSP) - The Twins are entering their final week in Florida before opening the regular season a week from Monday. It was a final tune-up for Phil Hughes as the former Yankee took on his old team in Tampa. If you watch the game closely, you may notice that is glove is a little worn. Why? He’s had it for eight years.  

"I'm not a glove snob," Hughes said. "Most guys get three or four gloves a year, they're breaking in gloves, ordering custom gloves nonstop. I just found one that I like and it broke in nice, it has stood the test of time, so I'll keep going until it wears out."
